Sure, apply common sense to the scorekeeping for cases like this.
It's crazy how a guy who blew a game gets a win while the dude who threw the game of his life (in this case I believe literally) gets nothing for it. Alex Cobb threw 98 pitches over 8 innings of two hit baseball (both hits came in the 7th). Alex Colome threw 19 pitches, hit a batter, gave up three hits and two runs... and gets the win.
There should be some human intervention just like there is when some guy somewhere sits back half an hour after a short stop bobbles a hard hit ball and reverses an error to a hit. It sucks that Alex Cobb didn't get that win... it's stupid that Alex Colome' did.
